On 16 June 2021, a meeting was held via video link with the Secretariat of the Economic Cooperation Organisation with the participation of leaders and representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of our country.

The meeting focused on a number of issues related to the outcome of Turkmenistan's chairmanship of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) and the forthcoming multilateral events.

During the meeting the work of the ECO, its structure and the work of the individual units were briefed.

The meeting also discussed the current state of cooperation in the field of transport and communications within the ECO.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the ECO Department of Transport and Communications made a speech. In his speech he presented the work of the Department. He also gave a brief overview of the work done in different sectors of the transport sector such as railways, roads, maritime transport, airlines and communications within the ECO.

Representatives of relevant Turkmenistan departments also addressed the meeting.
