30 years of neutrality: The CIS celebrates Turkmenistan's peace-loving policy and constructive partnership

On July 23, Minsk hosted a solemn event dedicated to the thirtieth anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality status. The event was organized by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belarus, Shagulyev.

He noted that neutrality plays a key role in maintaining friendly relations between states. The Ambassador stressed that this is a fundamental principle of Turkmenistan's peaceful foreign policy.

The UN Permanent Coordinator in Belarus, Bagirov, congratulated Turkmenistan on its anniversary. He highly appreciated the country's contribution to the development of the international community and the strengthening of global stability.

CIS Deputy Secretary General Seitimov also thanked Turkmenistan for its commitment to the principles of neutrality and significant contribution to strengthening cooperation within the Commonwealth.

Turkmenistan actively participates in the work of the CIS, following the policy of good neighborliness, equality and mutual respect. The country offers and supports many programs and projects aimed at the socio-economic development of the region and its sustainability.

Turkmenistan's initiative to hold the International Year of Peace and Trust has demonstrated the success of its policy of positive neutrality. The CIS will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2026, and Turkmenistan is actively contributing to strengthening integration ties. Deputy Secretary General of the Commonwealth Seytimov noted the foresight of the Turkmen leadership in developing cooperation with partners.
