President of Turkmenistan attended events within the framework of the SCO Summit in Tianjin

On August 30, 2025, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Tianjin, China, to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and, on the first day of his visit, took part in the events held within the framework of the summit.

The event brought together the leaders of SCO member and partner states. Among the participants were Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif, President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.

In addition, the heads of government of Egypt, Cambodia, Nepal, and Armenia, as well as UN Secretary-General António Guterres, also attended the event. This was reported by the Press Service of the President of Uzbekistan.

On the eve of the summit, foreign guests were warmly welcomed by Chairman Xi Jinping of China together with his spouse.

At the conclusion of the summit, the participants enjoyed musical performances organized in Tianjin on the occasion of the SCO Summit.
