Representatives of Turkmenistan took part in a seminar to validate - to voice to partners - the agreed-upon measures for the coming year and a report on the work done this year within the framework of the regional program "Climate Risk Management in Central Asia". This was reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The partnership platform is long-term, designed for the specific agro-ecological conditions of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. It is implemented on the basis of bilateral agreements, in cooperation with government agencies, basin water management associations of the five countries, regional institutions, with the coordinating participation of environmental, water, and land agencies of the five countries. In Turkmenistan, such an institution is the Ministry of Environmental Protection. The German Society for International Cooperation provides overall support for scientific and practical actions.

The program is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and operates for five key river basins in Central Asia, focusing on people, their needs to improve their own prospects and living conditions.
