Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan Sign New Cooperation Agreements

National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a trilateral meeting on Friday in Avaza, culminating in a signing ceremony for a series of agreements aimed at expanding cooperation in transport, aviation, and trade, according to official Turkmen media.

Among the signed documents is a memorandum on the development of international air service between Türkmenhowaýollary and Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. A protocol establishing sister-city relations between the cities of Arkadag and Fuzuli was also signed.Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan agreed to strengthen cooperation in shipbuilding and civil aviation, and signed an agreement on collaboration between the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan and the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange.

The transport ministries of the three countries signed a memorandum on the development of transport and logistics cooperation.

At the conclusion of the summit, the sides adopted a joint statement expressing a shared view that further development of trilateral cooperation will contribute to peace and stability, as well as the strengthening of trust and mutual understanding both regionally and globally.
