Turkmenistan, Germany to Discuss Economic Cooperation Prospects in Frankfurt

As part of the Days of Economy of Turkmenistan in Frankfurt, organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in partnership with TMT Consulting Group, one of the key thematic platforms will be Session 1, dedicated to the topic “Development of Trade and Economic Relations between Turkmenistan and the Federal Republic of Germany: Achievements and Prospects for Cooperation.”

The first session will be moderated by Michael Harms, Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy – a longstanding partner and good friend of Turkmenistan, who is a frequent and respected guest at international events held by the country.

The cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Eastern Committee of the German Economy is long-term and constructive, aimed at fostering stable trade and economic ties, expanding business partnerships with German enterprises, and attracting investment into strategically important sectors.

Harms has repeatedly highlighted Turkmenistan’s strong potential for expanding cooperation with German companies, particularly in such areas as advanced technologies, green energy, the chemical and textile industries, construction, transport, and digitalisation.

The holding of the first session of the forum, focused on strengthening Turkmen–German trade and economic relations, will represent an important step towards consolidating mutually beneficial partnerships between the two countries, as well as opening new prospects for expanding cooperation with other interested states across the European region.
