According to the publication, the transfer will be carried out on ship-or-pay terms. In addition, the Kazakh authorities are also planning to create a container hub in the Caspian Sea.

Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan was ready to transfer all the country’s airports to European investors for management.

“We are ready to transfer the remaining 22 airports in Kazakhstan to the private sector under the management of European investors. There is great potential for becoming a transit hub between Asia and Europe,” said the Minister of Transport of the Republic, Marat Karabaev.

According to him, it is proposed to transfer the air harbors to attract private investment and develop them as transit hubs.

Currently, the international airports of Astana and Almaty are already under the management of foreign companies in Kazakhstan.
