Tajikistan expressed its readiness to cooperate with the Russian side within the framework of the “Agroexpress” project.
The Minister of Transport of the Tajikistan Republic, Azim Ibrokhim, stated this during the reporting press conference.
In order to join the project, you need to confirm the availability of the required volume of agricultural products.
There are no obstacles from the transport system of Tajikistan, the head of the Ministry of Transport emphasized.
“We do not see any obstacles to participate in the project in railway and road transport,” Azim Ibrokhim clarified.
According to him, Tajikistan’s participation in “Agroexpress” has been discussed for several years. However, organizational issues take a lot of time.
He clarified that there was a request from Russia to provide an area of 20 hectares for the creation of infrastructure and a distribution center.
Earlier, the director of the Institute of Socio-Economic Research of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Economics, Alexey Zubets, noted that participation in the project will contribute to the economic development of Tajikistan and filling the budget.
Participation in “Agroexpress” will increase farmers' incomes, influence social development, and improve the quality of life of the population of Tajikistan.
