Russian seaports decreased cargo turnover in January by 6.2% to 71 million tons

The cargo turnover of Russian seaports in January 2024 decreased by 6.2% compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 71 million tons.

The volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 32.8 million tons (-5.8%), liquid cargo – 38.2 million tons (-6.5%), reports the Telegram channel of Rosmorrechflot.

The cargo turnover of the seaports of the Arctic basin amounted to 7.8 million tons (-5.4%), of which the volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 2 million tons (-13.8%), liquid cargo - 5.8 million tons (-2.1 %).

The indicators of the ports of the Baltic basin amounted to 21.6 million tons (-4.3%), of which the volume of dry cargo transshipment increased by 17.7% to 9.7 million tons, liquid cargo -11.9 million tons (-17.0 %).

The cargo turnover of the ports of the Azov-Black Sea basin amounted to 24 million tons (-7.1%), of which the volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 10.6 million tons (-13.8%), liquid cargo - 13.4 million tons (-0. 9%).

The ports of the Caspian basin handled 0.7 million tons (an increase of 1.6 times), of which the volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 0.5 million tons (a 2-fold increase), liquid cargo - 0.2 million tons (-0.3 %).

The results of the work of the ports of the Far Eastern basin amounted to 16.9 million tons (-9.1%), of which the volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 10 million tons (-14.5%), liquid cargo - 6.9 million tons (+0.2 %).
