In the Transport and Communications Complex of Turkmenistan were held meetings on the tasks set at the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, held by the Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on February 9, and the results of the work done in the relevant sectors in 2023. Reports were heard from the chairman of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, heads of agencies and other leaders. The upcoming tasks for the development transport and communications complex of the country in the year “The Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi” were also discussed.

During the speeches it was noted that transport and communications sector of the country achieved 121 percent growth in 2023, it was emphasized that stable GDP growth has been ensured, and normal production results have been achieved in the departments of the industry. Attention was also paid to the implementation of the “Program of socio-economic development of the country of the President of Turkmenistan for 2022-2028” and the tasks set in the “Program of socio-economic development and investment program of Turkmenistan for 2024”. In particular, it was noted that it is necessary to continue effective work on structural reform and diversification of our national economy, increasing its competitiveness, increasing the capacity of transport corridors by strengthening the material and technical base of the industry, and increasing the share of the private sector in the economy.

During the meeting which was held at the «Turkmendemiryollary» agency, a number of other important issues related to state life were discussed. The conference participants expressed gratitude to our Hero Arkadag, the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who create many opportunities for work in modern conditions and for constantly striving for the dynamic development of our country in all spheres.
