Korean “Hanwha Ocean” made a profit of $39 million in the first quarter

“Hanwha Ocean” said its improved performance in the first quarter of this year was due to increased orders for high-value vessel types, particularly “LNG” tankers.

Data from “Hanwha Ocean's” latest quarterly reports show that the company's ship delivery plans have reached historical highs: 22 ships in 2024 and 24 ships in 2025.

In 2024, “Hanwha Ocean” received orders for the construction of 17 new ships worth $3.39 billion, of which 12 LNG tankers, 2 large crude carriers (VLCC), 2 large ammonia carriers (VLAC) and 1 large tanker for the transportation of liquefied petroleum gas (VLGC).
