On November 5, a joint Turkmen-German Working Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Berlin. According to information from the official website of the Turkmenistan news portal, the meeting consisted of two parts. The first part examined the economic potential of Turkmenistan and Germany, the current state of bilateral trade and economic relations, as well as various directions for their development.
The second session involved representatives of German business structures and associations. Specific issues of cooperation in the fields of investment, financial and banking cooperation, energy, oil and gas, renewable energy sources, methane emission reduction, environmental protection, water resources and agriculture, medical industry, transport, logistics and infrastructure, the transition to a "green economy", and support for small and medium-sized businesses were discussed.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the roadmap for developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany, the work done, and the upcoming tasks in conjunction with the Eastern Committee of the German Economy. The sides noted the significance of the meeting between the President of Turkmenistan and representatives of German business circles within the framework of the high-level meeting in the "Central Asia - Germany" format, which took place on September 17 in Astana this year.
