On December 1, 2024, the delegation of Turkmenistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs took part in the fifth meeting of foreign ministers in the "Central Asia-China" format, held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province (HHR).

The participants of the meeting noted the importance of cooperation in the "Central Asia-China" format in terms of strengthening joint efforts aimed at strengthening constructive cooperation for the common interests of the participating countries.

As part of the agenda of the meeting, the leaders of the foreign policy agencies of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and China discussed the priority directions of relations between the Central Asian countries and China and identified important areas of further cooperation.

Several international issues of the regional and global agenda were discussed.

The diplomats also discussed issues related to preparations for the upcoming second summit of the Central Asia-China format, strengthening and development of political relations, key areas of further development of business cooperation, protection and expansion of trade relations, ensuring energy and transport links. discussed.

Then the meeting of foreign ministers of the "Central Asia-China" format continued in an expanded format.

Among the issues discussed, special attention was paid to the need to consolidate joint efforts to ensure long-term peace and stability, strengthen political, trade-economic and investment cooperation, and expand humanitarian relations.

As the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan pointed out, the culture of harmonious negotiations creates a basis for further strengthening of trust and peace between countries and peoples, and cannot be limited by time.

Based on the results of the meeting, a Final Document was signed defining the promising directions of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the "Central Asia-China" format.
