In Turkmenistan, was held a Rally Raid Championship in honor of Neutrality Day

On December 2-3, 2024, the Turkmenistan Rally Raid Championship took place in the Karakum Desert, dedicated to the International Neutrality Day. The event was held in the Ahal and Balkan regions, where participants covered a distance of 161 km. Of this distance, 138 km were completed on December 2, and the remaining 23 km on December 3. The championship was organized by the Turkmenistan Automobile Sports Federation with the support of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan.

Teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, the "Turkmenawtoulaglary" agency, and the Turkmenistan Automobile Sports Federation participated in the competition. The event was held in various classes, including the T2 class (off-road vehicles) and the open class. Among the winners were athletes who showed excellent results in Nissan Patrol, Mitsubishi Pajero, and Toyota Hilux vehicles.

In the T2 class (off-road vehicles), the first place was taken by Toylyev Merdan from the "Turkmenavtoulaglary" agency in a Nissan Patrol. The second place in this class went to Danatarov Maksatmyrat, an athlete from the Turkmenistan Automobile Sports Federation. The third spot was claimed by another Federation participant, Avdylaev Meylis.

In the open class, the victory went to Caryev Caryyar in a Toyota Hilux. The silver and bronze medals were awarded to athletes from the Turkmenistan Automobile Sports Federation – 2nd place went to Kulaliyev Serdar, and 3rd place to Abayev Yalaman.

The competition was a significant event for the development of automobile sports in Turkmenistan and contributed to promoting rally raid as a sport among both young people and professionals.
