As a result of selfless labor of our people in the year “The Treasure of Makhtumkuli Fraghi's Mind” great successes have been achieved, plans have been fulfilled, activities on development and implementation of modern laws have been continued.

At the same time, the high rate of economic development was maintained. GDP growth amounted to 6.3 percent, including 1.5 percent in the industrial sector, 10.1 percent in trade and 5.3 percent in agriculture. The volume of investments increased by 9.1 percent.

In the reporting period, a total of 5 thousand 735 new jobs were created. The export volume of products manufactured in the country reached 12 billion American dollars.

Last year, 86 industrial and socio-cultural facilities were opened at the expense of all sources of financing, 1 million 145 thousand square meters of housing were put into operation. Thousands of families celebrated housewarmings.

Last year the construction of the second stage of the “smart” city Arkadag, built for the first time in the history of the country on the initiative of Hero Arkadag, was continued.

Major projects related to the fuel and energy complex are being implemented, in particular, the construction of the Serhetabat-Herat gas pipeline, called “Arkadagyň ak ýoly”, which is the main link of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, was launched.

In addition, the 2nd stage of the Baherden and Lebap cement plants in Akhal and Lebap velayats, the Balkan-Dashoguz high-voltage power transmission line and power plants, modern drinking water treatment facilities were put into operation.

A cultural and park complex “Magtymguly Pyragy” and a monument to the poet thinker were opened in a beautiful corner of Kopetdag, and a complex of new buildings of the Berdimuhamed Annayev Specialized Military School, international medical centers and other facilities were put into operation.

Farmers having gathered high harvests, ensured food security of the country. The State Budget for 2025 was adopted, wages, pensions and state benefits were increased once again.

A number of international events were held on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker of the East, Makhtmukuli Fraghi, and the announcement of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024. The International Conference “Interconnection of times and civilizations - the basis of peace and development” dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the poet thinker was held at a high level in the country.

The authority of our neutral State in the international arena is steadily growing. Cooperation with the United Nations Organization is steadily developing. Last year, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted a number of resolutions on the basis of Turkmenistan's initiatives, which is a clear confirmation of the broad support of the international community for the proposals of universal importance put forward by our neutral country.

Neutral Turkmenistan also enjoys fruitful cooperation with other major international and regional organizations.

Every year we have a certain motto. This year's motto is “International Year of Peace and Trust”. This motto is of great importance, inspires us to carry out work aimed at further enhancing the authority of independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan, prosperity of our native land. It imposes great responsibility on us, and in this regard we will have to work selflessly for the practical realization of the motto of the year.

In accordance with the “Program of social and economic development of Turkmenistan and investments in 2025”, this year it is planned to build and put into operation residential buildings of about 500 thousand square meters, general education institutions for 4620 places, pre-school institutions for 2000 places.

In order to improve the social and living standards of the people, within the framework of this Program, a number of new buildings will be constructed in the velayats and the capital. It is also planned to complete the construction of a number of facilities and buildings.

This year it is planned to put into operation modern villages in “Öňaldy” in Ak Bugday etrap and “Gowşut” in Kaahki etrap of Akhal velayat, new modern villages in Kizilarvat etrap of Balkan velayat, a new modern settlement in Kunyaurgench etrap of Dashoguz velayat, a highway bridge across Garabogazkol bay in Balkan velayat, and an international air terminal complex in Jebel settlement of Balkan velayat. It is also planned to put into operation the Mary-Turkmenabat section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway and the higher educational institution of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

In order to improve the social and living conditions of the population, significant funds will be allocated for the construction of roads, communication systems, water, gas and energy supply and construction of sewage treatment facilities.

A number of international events will be held in our country on the occasion of the International Year of Peace and Trust.

In this connection, it is necessary to prepare proposals on awarding representatives not only of citizens of our country, but also of foreign states on the occasion of declaring 2025 the “International Year of Peace and Trust” and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, to properly prepare for holding high-level events of special significance and significant dates.
