On February 25, 2025, at the Quirinal Palace of the President of the Italian Republic, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Italian Republic T.Komekov and the Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the Italian Republic Fabio Cassese.

According to the embassy press release during the meeting, F.Cassese was given an invitation addressed to the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the upcoming International Forum, which is dedicated to the proclamation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
