On April 3, 2025, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Thursday in Samarkand. During the talks, the head of state gave a high assessment of the current state of bilateral relations and expressed the country's readiness to further develop them, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
The two sides also discussed energy supply issues, emphasizing the importance of implementing advanced technologies and ensuring the stability of supplies in line with the EU's focus on developing "green" energy.
