The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, spoke at the Turkmen-French Economic Forum in Paris, where he presented five priority areas for cooperation with French business circles, according to TDH.
The forum, organized by the French international association "MEDEF International," gathered leaders and representatives of leading French companies, members of the Turkmen delegation, and representatives of the Turkmen business community.
In his speech, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that his address consisted of three sections: the first focused on the current geopolitical situation of Turkmenistan, the second on its geoeconomic situation, and the third on the coordination of joint work.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people confirmed that a solid legal framework has been created in Turkmenistan for investors, guaranteeing the reliability of investments and complying with generally recognized norms of international law.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov put forward five specific proposals for the development of cooperation. Firstly, he confirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to promote French goods and services in its market, particularly in the oil and gas sector, satellite technologies, transport, cadastre, water resources, and the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Secondly, Turkmenistan is interested in attracting French expertise in urban development, methane emission monitoring, geological exploration, oil and gas equipment supplies, and "green" and hydrogen energy.
The third proposal is to explore opportunities for attracting small and medium-sized French enterprises to conduct business in Turkmenistan. The fourth is cooperation in the field of tourism, considering France's leading position in the global tourism sector. The fifth is active cooperation in training national specialists in all the aforementioned areas.
