President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended his congratulations to the participants and guests of the “Music of the World” International Festival in Ashgabat, wishing them good health and creative success, as reported by official Turkmen media. The International Festival "Music of Peace", dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, has officially opened at the Palace of Mukams of the State Cultural Center in Ashgabat.
The event is attended by leading composers, conductors, opera singers and musicians from Russia, China, France, Iran, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
The head of state highlighted the significance of the festival, held during the International Year of Peace and Trust—an initiative proposed by Turkmenistan and endorsed by the United Nations.
President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of developing cultural cooperation, noting that music unites nations and the festival serves to strengthen international ties. The event features concerts, creative gatherings, and master classes with the participation of Turkmen and foreign performers.
Turkmen President expressed confidence that the festival would become a platform for promoting cultural values and fostering friendship among peoples.
