Turkmenistan Participates in CIS Interior Ministry Meeting on Combating Organized Crime

A meeting of heads of operational units from the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states was held in the capital of Kazakhstan, focusing on combating organized crime. Turkmenistan was among the participants in this interstate event, alongside representatives from Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, as reported by TASS.

The discussions primarily centered on measures to disrupt illegal arms trafficking channels, enhance the exchange of operational information between countries in the region, and develop effective methods for countering criminal groups.

Kazakhstani Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation not only in the fight against organized crime but also in countering all types of crime, ensuring public safety, and responding to contemporary challenges.
