During the 70th plenary session of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, on November 26 was declared the "World Sustainable Transport Day" by the initiative of Turkmenistan and with the unanimous support of the member states of the organization. On the occasion of this good news, a meeting was held at the “Beyik Yupek yoly” hotel of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport on May 24, 2023, with the participation of employees of the Turkmendenizderyayollary agency, representatives of public organizations and a deputy of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the Avaza district.

During the conference, the speakers noted the concerns of our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Serdar aimed at the nation and the prosperity of our state.

Also during the conference the work of the maritime transport system, in particular the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, and the development of our national marine merchant fleet were discussed.

Also there were noted the international conventions joined by Turkmenistan in the field of maritime transport, cooperation with international organizations, agreements and contracts with the Caspian and distant countries, cooperation with reputable transport and logistics companies in the international arena in recent years.

At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed their deep gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and our Esteemed President for their tireless work on the development of our country in all areas.
