Meeting with Representatives of the Republic of Tajikistan Held at the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port

On April 20, 2026, the management of the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port held a working meeting with a delegation from the State Agency for Material Reserves under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The primary objective of the visit was to explore the port's technical capabilities and the specialized facilities provided for transit cargo.

During the meeting, the Tajik delegation was briefed on the capacity, modern infrastructure, and strategic importance of the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port within international transport corridors. The Agency representatives expressed their intent to utilize the port’s potential for organizing the transit of various goods. It was noted that pilot shipments are already underway to test the efficiency of the multimodal routes, with cargo expected to arrive at the port via ferry and proceed to Tajikistan shortly.

In turn, port officials confirmed their readiness to ensure the seamless and efficient processing of all transit shipments and expressed their commitment to strengthening long-term cooperation in the transport and logistics sector.
