Within the framework of the 16th Cooperation Forum “Central Asia–Republic of Korea”, the first session "Transport and Logistics" was held on the topic "Interconnectivity of transport and logistics infrastructure in Central Asia and the Republic of Korea: challenges and opportunities".
The speakers noted that transport and logistics are the engine for promoting international trade, so it is necessary to pay close attention to the development of transport infrastructure and logistics systems.
The transport and logistics potential of Turkmenistan as a key transit hub between Europe and Asia was presented at the session. It was noted that the country has a developed transport infrastructure, including modern road, rail, air, sea and communication routes.
Representatives of the Republic of Korea spoke about the experience of their transport and logistics companies, presenting their proposals in the relevant field to the participants of the session.
The session participants agreed that further fruitful cooperation between Central Asia and the Republic of Korea in the transport and logistics sector opens up wide opportunities for the development of trade and economic ties and the integration of countries into global transport networks.The implementation of joint infrastructure projects, the exchange of best practices and technologies will contribute to improving the competitiveness of national transport systems and their effective integration into regional and international transport and logistics chains.
