The futsal team of the Turkmenbashi International seaport «Denizchi» became the winner of the country's Premier League. The Denizchi team has been participating continuously since 2009 and became the champion of Turkmenistan for the fourth time. Prior to this, the team of the International Seaport of Turkmenistan achieved similar successes in 2015, 2021 and 2022.

The futsal team of the Caspian city was led to this winning by 47-year-old Yakub Ovezov, who has been the team’s head coach since 2011. Under his leadership, the «Denizchi» team won two silver medals at the national championships in 2014 and 2018, three bronze medals in 2012, 2019 and 2020, as well as twice Cup of Turkmenistan in 2016 and 2018 and the Main Cup of the country's decisive game in 2019 .

On November 26, 2023, the matches of the final 21st round of the country's Major Futsal League took place. The winner of the Premier Futsal League from eight teams was determined in three rounds of matches.

In the final round of the championship, «Denizchi» defeated the «Migration» team with a score of 5:2, managing to score a total of 52 points and ahead of the «Kopetdag» team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan by 1 point. The third step of the podium was taken by the «Gumrukchi» team of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, which collected 40 points.

The team of the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port, which won the Premier League, got the opportunity to play in the AFC Champions League, which is held in 2024 with the participation of futsal teams.
