Starting from January 15, 2024, permits of foreign countries for international transportation can be issued in the branches of the state enterprise "Turkmenulaggozegchilik" of the Agency "Turkmenavtowlaglary".

The innovation is aimed at optimizing the entry and exit process for road carriers and creating more comfortable conditions for international transportation.

Permit and document analysis departments will function in the Akhal region and Ashgabat city. In Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary provinces, road control departments will provide this service. Road control agencies at border checkpoints will also issue and process permits for Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

The Agency also informs that issuance and registration of permits for Azerbaijan from the checkpoint of Turkmenbashi International Sea Port to the points of Artyk, Khovdan, Sarakhs, Garabogaz, Altyn Asyr, Dashoguz, Kunyaurgench, Gazojak, Farap, Ymamnazar and Serhetabad are also carried out by the relevant departments of the enterprise "Turkmenulaggozegchilik".
