Turkmen-Russian business meetings and negotiations will be held in Ashgabat at the end of January

From January 30 to 31, 2024, Ashgabat will host the 13th meeting of the Turkmen- Russian Commission for Economic Cooperation and a joint business forum, in which Russian and Turkmen companies are invited to participate.

The second Turkmen-Russian Business Forum establishes the creation of a regular business platform, which was initiated by the successful holding of the first bilateral business forum a year ago in Ashgabat. At that time, a representative delegation of the Russian Federation headed by Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in a business meeting.

Trade and economic partnership is the most important component of the Turkmen- Russian relations. Recently, relations have intensified, primarily in such sectors as energy, transport, and industrial cooperation.

Traditionally, an important place in the development of interstate relations is given to the establishment and development of direct relations between Turkmenistan and the subjects of the Russian Federation. Mutually beneficial partnerships have been established with the Republic of Tatarstan, the city of St. Petersburg, and the Astrakhan region. Chelyabinsk, Orel, Sverdlovsk regions and a number of other regions of Russia are showing interest in the Turkmen market.
