A block train from China arrived in the port of Baku in transit through Kazakhstan

Another block train from China arrived in the port of Baku in transit through Kazakhstan. The press service of Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC reported this in its TG channel.

The block train, consisting of 55 40-foot containers, was delivered to the port of Baku by the feeder vessel (container ship) “Sunkar” from the Kazakh port of Aktau. It is clarified that the block train, which must transit from Azerbaijan, transports passenger cars, parts of large-capacity equipment and other non-food products. The cargo will be delivered to the port of Poti (Georgia).

It should be noted that during this year, 100 block trains will be sent from the Chinese station of Xi'an alone to their final destination through the port of Baku.

The port of Baku, being a significant part of the Trans-Caspian international transport route, occupies an area of 400 hectares. Located 70 km from Baku. It has 13 berths, including those for receiving Ro-Ro vessels, ferries, and a terminal for general cargo.
