29 On January 2024, in the administrative building of the “Shipbuilding and Repairing yard “Balkan” Open Joint Stock Company, a meeting was held between representatives of “Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co., Ltd.” company and shipyard management.

Preliminary action plan was drawn up for the implementation of the agreement, which was signed on September 13, 2023 for the joint construction of two dry cargo ships with a carrying capacity of 6100 tons between the «Balkan» Shipbuilding and repairing Yard and “Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co. , Ltd.”

In this regard, “Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co., Ltd.” proposed several implementations for training specialists included in the production structure of the Balkan shipyard in the near future, also on specific issues of the company’s shipbuilding and obtaining certification for the “Balkan” shipyard according to international ISO standards.

In addition, during the working visit to “Koryo Shipbuilding company Industry Technology Co., Ltd.”, representatives were familiarized with the accommodation conditions that will be provided by the “Balkan” Shipbuilding and Repairing yard during the shipbuilding project.

During the working visit, the parties noted that they would achieve positive results in the joint construction of ships and shipbuilding work will begin soon.
