Serdar Berdimuhamedov summed up the results of the past year and announced plans for 2024.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, after making reports on the results of 2023 by members of the government and other leaders, briefly described the overall results and identified tasks for 2024. The Head of Turkmenistan highlighted a number of eloquent indicators, naming the following figures: the country's GDP growth amounted to 6.3%, including 4.3% in the industrial sector, 12.8% in trade, 4.4% in agriculture. The volume of investments increased by 7.5%. Exports of domestic products amounted to 11.4 billion US dollars.

Over the past year, a total of 12,274 new jobs were created, 78 industrial and socio-cultural facilities were opened, 1 million 897 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned.

The big event was the opening of the "smart" city of Arkadag. Among other facilities, the Mary-Ahal high-voltage transmission line, two gas turbine installations at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, and dozens of enterprises in various industries were put into operation.

Speaking about plans for 2024, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that it is planned to build and commission housing with an area of 430 thousand square meters, educational institutions for 5,360 places, preschool institutions for 1,200 places, a number of facilities in the regions and the capital.

Among them: in the city of Ashgabat there is a water treatment plant with a capacity of 150 thousand cubic meters of drinking water, the Dokmaçylar cultural center, the Magtymguly Pyragy monument and a cultural and park complex, 13 residential buildings in the Parahat-7 massif, an International treatment and Rehabilitation center and an International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology;

In the Ahal region – the 2nd stage of the Baherden cement plant, new villages in the districts of Ak Bugday and Kaka;

In the Balkan region there is a road bridge over the Garabogaz Bay, an international airport complex in the village of Jebel;

In Lebap, the 2nd stage of the cement plant in the Koytendag district;

There is a new administrative building of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service in the city of Mary. It is also planned to put into operation the Tejen-Mary section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway.
