The Armenian Foreign Ministry exchanged views on cooperation with Turkmenistan

Ambassador Muhammetgeldi Ayazov met with the head of the Department of Multilateral Policy and Development Cooperation of the Armenian Foreign Ministry David Knyazev, with whom he discussed the interaction between Turkmenistan and Armenia within the framework of international organizations, as Turkmen diplomatic mission in Yerevan reports.

During the conversation, it was noted that Armenia actively participates in the development and voting of Turkmenistan’s initiatives within the UN, in particular on resolutions related to issues of energy, transport, peace and trust in international relations.

The Turkmen ambassador spoke about the activities of the embassy in Armenia. Thus, the head of the diplomatic mission shared his thoughts on increasing the number of participants in the now traditional bike ride, which is held jointly with the Armenian bike ride and the Amateur Cycling Federation.

Speaking about the important role of neutrality in the foreign policy strategy of Turkmenistan, Ayazov invited the representative of the Armenian Foreign Ministry to join the Group of Friends of Neutrality in the Name of Peace, Security and Sustainable Development. In this context, it was said that the dialogue platform is an effective means of preventing conflicts and eliminating their causes.
