On March 5, 2024, representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) made a business visit to the Turkmenbashi International seaport to discuss further cooperation.
During the visit, in the meeting room of the ferry and passenger terminal, was delivered a presentation to the guests about the international seaport of Turkmenbashi, which described in detail the equipment and techniques, services and tariffs of the port. Then the guests got acquainted with each terminal separately, and studied the capacities and capabilities of the port. The guests were also told about the advantages of the “customs storage” regime for transit cargo. This service allows to store various cargo and goods at the port without paying customs duties and clearance for up to 3 years. This mode is attractive to many clients, as it significantly reduces the time and costs of processing customs documentation and transporting goods.
