Deputy General Director of Makhachkala Sea Trade Port JSC Hadji-Murad Abashilov summed up the results of the enterprise’s participation in the national project “Labor Productivity”.

According to him, thanks to the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, the Makhachkala seaport increased labor productivity by 10% and annual revenue by 9.6 million rubles. The flow of transshipment of land cargo in big bags was chosen as a pilot site for optimizing production processes, RIA Dagestan reports.

Let us remind you that the construction of a new sea checkpoint in Dagestan will allow in the near future increasing cargo transshipment in the port of Makhachkala to 4 million tons per year.

As previously reported, by 2026 the Dagestan authorities plan to update the transport routes leading to the seaport of Makhachkala, establish grain transshipment and speed up customs clearance.
