Turkmenistan will present its achievements at the exhibition within the framework of KazanForum

Turkmenistan will present its stands at the exhibition of economic achievements within the framework of the international forum “Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum”, which will be held in the capital of Tatarstan on May 14-19, 2024.

According to the organizers, the key topics will be the Halal industry, Islamic finance, development of transport corridors, and education. The topic of tourism, including medical tourism, will also be expanded. The program on cultural issues has also been increased: separate events on digital Islamic art, creative economy, and the film industry will be held. An important topic will be the development of sports. The International Forum of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry will bring together business representatives from Islamic countries.

“Using the example of the Republic of Tatarstan, one of the leading Russian regions, one can see how Russia is expanding cooperation with the Islamic world, along with establishing trade, economic and investment contacts, we are successfully developing cultural and humanitarian ties. Our Republic is one of the pilot regions for the implementation of the principles of Islamic banking and financing in Russia, active work is underway to develop the Halal industry, much attention is paid to Islamic education,” Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia – Islamic World”, RAIS of the Republic of Tatarstan, said at a meeting with the ambassadors of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The meeting took place on March 5 at the Reception House of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow.

Rais recalled that in 2022 Kazan received the status of the Youth Capital of the OIC and in 2025 the First Islamic Youth Games are planned to be held in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of federal authorities and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Athletes aged 14-16 from more than 40 countries of the Islamic world will compete in 20 sports.
