Turkmenistan's National Leader and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, conducted a working trip around Ashgabat on Friday, reviewing projects and blueprints for new healthcare facilities under construction.
The National Leader visited the construction site of the International Rehabilitation Center, where he met with Erman Ilıcak, Chairman of the Board of Rönesans Holding, actively involved in urban development projects across the country.
Deputy Prime Minister Nurmuhammet Amannepesov briefed on the progress of several healthcare projects in the capital, including the International Physiology-Scientific Clinical Center for 250 beds, the International Rehabilitation Center for 400 beds, and the International Oncology-Scientific Clinical Center for 500 beds.
The briefing detailed the construction progress of the Dental Center, International Pediatric Center with 160 beds, and the overall healthcare infrastructure plan, including facility layouts and equipment specifications.
Projects highlighted included international-level oncology centers in Mary province for 200 beds, and in Balkan and Lebap provinces for 150 beds each, along with a 400-bed Mother and Child Health Center in Dashoguz province, and the 600-bed S.A. Niyazov Medical and Consultative Center. The plans also include constructing a 400-bed Mother and Child Health Center at the State Medical University named after M. Garryev, and the I. Gandhi Vocational Medical School in Ashgabat with 1000 beds.
Amannepesov informed the National Leader that funding for international oncology centers in Balkan and Lebap provinces would come from the Islamic Development Bank, and from the Saudi Development Fund for the center in Mary province.
Berdimuhamedov issued directives to ensure responsible management and operational efficiency at the healthcare facilities, emphasizing compliance with established standards, reviewing staffing levels for new centers, and enhancing professional qualifications of medical staff.
On the same day, Chairman Berdimuhamedov visited the International Akhalteke Equestrian Complex in Arkadag City.
