Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Speaks With Presidents of Türkiye and Uzbekistan

National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had phone conversations on Saturday with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.

During the calls, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Valentina Matviyenko warmly congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday.

In their conversation, they emphasized the active cooperation between Turkmenistan and Türkiye across various economic sectors.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov fondly recalled his visit to Türkiye for the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in March this year and confirmed Turkmenistan's intention to continue developing bilateral relations with Türkiye, enhancing their content.

Both sides expressed readiness to intensify dialogue between political parties and legislative bodies, as well as to further encourage direct contacts and mutual exchanges at the local level.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's significant personal contribution to the further development of strategic and long-term bilateral relations, as well as the Uzbek leader's efforts to strengthen friendly ties between the peoples of the two countries.

The discussion touched on the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, and the important role of inter-parliamentary relations.

The sides also confirmed their readiness to continue bilateral relations in the fields of education, science, healthcare, and culture.
