Today, the Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF) 2024 was officially opened at the Yyldyz Hotel in Ashgabat.
The International Conference and Exhibition aimed at attracting advanced technologies and innovations to Turkmenistan’s economy was organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants via video message, highlighting the significance of the forum for the country's ongoing economic growth and the strengthening of international cooperation.
The grand opening was attended by government officials, heads of ministries and agencies, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as leaders from the financial and banking sectors, energy companies, and public organizations. Media representatives were also present.
The event attracted participants from the World Bank in Kazakhstan, the Eurasian Department of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and UN structural divisions.
The main objective of the forum is to attract foreign investments, particularly in the Caspian Sea’s hydrocarbon resources and the massive "Galkynysh" gas field. The forum also highlights major projects such as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) pipeline, gas chemical initiatives, energy production, construction, textiles, transport, smart agriculture, and efficient water resource management.
For Turkmen entrepreneurs, this forum presents wide-ranging opportunities, including securing foreign investments, networking, exporting goods and services, and learning from best practices in various industries.
As part of the event, meetings with heads of national companies and ministries across various sectors of Turkmenistan's economy will be organized. An interactive exhibition will also be held for forum guests.
