On July 18-19, 2022, Ashgabat will host an international conference "International transport and transit corridors: interconnection and development".

The international conference was organized by the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and under its departments.

More than 300 representatives of international organizations, foreign and local companies will take part in the conference. Partners of the agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary" also take part in the international conference.

During the meetings, speeches by the heads of the Agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary" and the head of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport are planned.

A signing ceremony of bilateral documents will also take place within the framework of the meeting. It is planned to sign documents between the port of Kuryk and the Merchant Marine Fleet, the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port with the Uzbek side, the Balkan Shipbuilding and Repair Plant and company “CMEC” of PRC.

On July 20, 2022, the participants will visit the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi. This will allow you to familiarize yourself with the port on the spot.

Holding an international forum will contribute to the development of the country's maritime transport. That is, it will help to maximize the potential of the port, increase cargo turnover throughout the country, and train specialists in the shipbuilding industry.
