Turkmenistan participates in COP29 climate summit in Baku

The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) has commenced in Baku. World leaders, experts, and representatives from various countries have gathered to discuss global climate change issues and develop joint solutions to mitigate its consequences. This is reported by the official website of Business Turkmenistan.

Key topics on the agenda include reducing the impact of climate change, accelerating the transition to sustainable energy, and achieving climate neutrality. A crucial issue will be the adoption of a new global goal for climate finance, as well as increasing support for vulnerable countries.

The Turkmen delegation will participate in discussions aimed at developing partnerships with international organizations and promoting climate initiatives, including the establishment of a Regional Center for Climate Technologies in Central Asia.
