Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Nurlan Nogayev was on a working visit to Balkan Velayat on December 17-18, 2024.

During the visit, meetings were held with the  hyakim of Balkan Velayat and the hyakim of Turkmenbashi city.

During the meetings, the issues of energy, transport infrastructure, oil and gas industry, trade and economic cooperation were discussed. Special attention was paid to the transit of energy resources and the development of transport corridors that help to increase the trade flow between the two countries.

The sides also exchanged views on plans to hold cultural events, exhibitions and festivals to strengthen relations between the peoples of the two countries.

As part of his visit, the ambassador visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, the complex of oil refineries in Turkmenbashi and the «Garabogazkarbamid» plant.
