The President of Turkmenistan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan

On March 27, 2025, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the meeting of the heads of foreign ministries of Central Asian countries and the European Union, reports TDH.

During the negotiations, the parties noted with satisfaction the strategic and long-term nature of friendly relations between the countries. Turkmenistan and Tajikistan actively cooperate not only at the bilateral level, but also within the framework of international organizations, including the UN, OIC, CIS, SCO, and ECO.

Special attention was paid to the international legal status of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. The diplomat congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the adoption by the UN General Assembly of the third Resolution on permanent neutrality and confirmed Tajikistan's readiness to support Turkmenistan's initiatives.

The parties also discussed the prospects for trade and economic cooperation, highlighting the potential for joint projects in the energy, trade, and transport and communication sectors.
