In addition, e-CMR will reduce cargo handling costs, eliminate administrative delays and billing difficulties. The protocol will also increase transparency and security throughout the supply chain by providing more accurate data to track shipments with real-time access to receipt and delivery information. Given that e-CMR is a digital document, transportation companies can easily integrate it with other services, such as customs declarations and vehicle and fleet management.
