On February 11, 2023, a meeting was held between the heads of the UAE «AD Ports Group» and the heads of the «Turkmendenizderyayollary»  agency via video conference.

During the meeting, within the framework of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and the «AD Ports Group», issues such as port management, development of logistics and establishing cooperation in the field of maritime transport, as well as the introduction of a digital system in the transport sector of the country were discussed.

It was also proposed to bring built ships of the company to the Caspian Sea and invest in the construction of new ships. In addition, a discussion was held on the possibility of transferring the container terminal of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport to the trust management of «AD Ports Group». Speaking about the areas of this cooperation, the head of the company noted that it would be appropriate to establish a joint venture with the Turkmen side.

At the end of the meeting, the parties highlighted that efforts will be made to further develop cooperation in the field of maritime transport between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates.
