The EXPO-2025 World Exhibition continues its work in the Japanese city of Osaka, and one of the most popular pavilions among the participating countries has become the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan, writes https://www.newscentralasia.net/.
According to public opinion polls conducted by Japanese TV channel ABC, the Turkmenistan pavilion took an honorable third place among all presented at the exhibition. On a single day, May 31, out of 190,000 visitors to EXPO-2025, 24,000 people visited the Turkmen pavilion, which underlines its popularity.
The pavilion building is shaped like a rounded triangle, symbolizing renewal and sustainable development. Its roof reflects the image of "gülýaka" – a traditional female adornment of the Turkmen people, and the exterior design is inspired by the sands of the Karakum Desert, motifs of Turkmen carpets, images of the Akhal-Teke horse, and the unique nature of the country. Environmentally friendly materials were used in its construction, emphasizing Turkmenistan's commitment to sustainability principles.
On the first floor of the pavilion, an immersive exhibition hall introduces guests to the history, culture, economic development, and natural riches of Turkmenistan.
On the second floor, visitors can learn about the achievements of the "smart" city of Arkadag, as well as the work of the country's ministries and departments. Special attention is paid to medicinal plants growing in various ecosystems of Turkmenistan, highlighting their uniqueness and significance.
The third floor is where guests can try dishes of Turkmen national cuisine and visit a chaykhana (teahouse) with national decor, immersing themselves in the culture and traditions of the people.
The National Pavilion of Turkmenistan at EXPO-2025 presents a comprehensive picture of the country's achievements in the socio-economic sphere, production, culture, heritage, entrepreneurship, services, science, education, and sports, and healthcare.
