The total amount of cargo transportation in January-August 2023 by the vessels of the Marine Merchant Fleet increased by 128,6% compared to the same period in 2022 and amounted to 1.509 million tons. Generally, the plan for cargo transportation for January-August 2023 completed by 130,1%.

Cargo turnover for January-August 2023 amounted to 626,355 mln.tn.km, which is 25.4% higher than the figures for the same period in 2022; the plan for cargo turnover for January-August was fulfilled by 227,4%.

Passenger turnover in January-August 2023 increased by 165.5% compared to the corresponding period in 2022 and amounted to 6,194 mln.passenger.km. The implementation of the plan amounted to 244,3%.

Ro-Pax auto-passenger ferries transported 12 358 automobile transport during the reporting period, which accounted for 142.3% compared to 2022. The number of containers transported amounted to 2,773 TEU, a growth rate 255.8%.

The increase in growth rates is primarily due to an increase in export transportation of crude oil and petroleum products, as well as bulk cargo by stimulating shippers to increase deliveries by fleet vessels, which are distinguished by reliability, stability and preferential discounts as the country's national carrier. In addition, the volume of container transportation increased by 2.6 times.
