On October 4, 2023, company leaders and entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the Turkmenbashi International Seaport on a business visit. During the visit, the guests got acquainted in detail with the capabilities and capacities of the seaport. The guests visited the passenger ferry terminal and cargo terminal of the port and got acquainted with modern equipment that were built by the characteristics of each terminal and the services provided by the port. The guests also got acquainted with the techniques for loading and unloading large cargo at the seaport. Then the guests were presented with information about the open and closed warehouses of the seaport on the territory of the terminals and the services of a customs warehouse, more precisely, that the customs warehouse of the seaport can store cargo and goods for up to 3 years without paying customs duties. In addition, visitors expressed interest in the tariffs and operating times provided by the port.

Then the guests visited the «Balkan» shipbuilding and repairing yard, where they got acquainted with the ship repair process. The guests visited all the yard’s workshops, discussed shipbuilding projects and noted that in the future the guests will also have the opportunity to build ships at the «Balkan» shipyard. Noting that the shipyard uses modern and powerful equipment, the guests examined all the yard’s equipment.

At the end of the visit, the guests highly appreciated the infrastructure of the Turkmenbashi international seaport and the «Balkan» shipbuilding and repairing yard and expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for the warm welcome.
