The Investment Forum of Turkmenistan was held in London on November 22-23.
The government delegation of Turkmenistan was headed by Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Atdayev. It also included high-ranking representatives of the State Concerns "Turkmennebit", "Turkmengaz", "Turkmenhimiya", "Turkmenaragatnashyk" agency, financial and banking sector, environmental protection, agricultural, water, electricity, textile industries, construction and industrial complex, transport and logistics sector, as well as the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, head of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and others.
Experts from the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Fitch Ratings, and the American media holding S&P Global also joined the discussion of economic development and investment potential of Turkmenistan. In general, the event brought together about 350 participants.
During the working sessions of the forum, the delegates' attention was focused on such topics as investment opportunities in the energy and chemical sectors of Turkmenistan, "green" investments, renewable energy sources and hydrogen energy. In addition to representatives of Turkmenistan, top managers of the country's partner companies, including SOCAR, Dragon Oil, Yugneftegaz and forum organizer Nielsonsmith, also shared their views.
The Director of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport also spoke at the forum. He introduced the forum participants in detail to the capacities and capabilities of the seaport, as well as the maritime infrastructure of our country.
On November 23, the second day of the forum, there was a plenary session devoted to the current trends in financing investment projects and a number of thematic sessions by sectors.
