European aircraft manufacturer Airbus aims to become the world's leading aircraft manufacturer in 2024. By the end of the year, the company plans to produce and deliver 800 aircraft to customers. It was noted that the aircraft that will be produced include the A320neo, which will compete with the «Boeing 737 Max». The company also noted that progress has been made in developing a new, more fuel-efficient aircraft. Last year the company produced and delivered 735 aircraft to customers. This figure exceeded the plan. Last year, Airbus received 2,094 orders from India and other fast-growing countries due to strong demand for midsize planes with narrow cabins. «Boeing» has delivered 528 aircraft to its customers. Thus, during the year 1 thousand 576 aircraft were ordered. The company's newly developed fuel-efficient aircraft will be a narrow-body aircraft. Aircraft produced after 2030 are expected to establish themselves as state-of-the-art aircraft in the aviation industry.
