Turkmenistan and Turkey have discussed the reduction of visa fees for drivers as part of ongoing negotiations between the International Transporters' Association of Turkey (UND) and the Turkmenistan Transport and Logistics Center (TULM). This is reported by business.com.tm.
This issue was addressed during a meeting between the General Director of Turkmenistan's Transport and Communications Agency, Mammetkhan Chakiyev, and a delegation from Turkey's International Transporters' Association (UND) at the World Congress of the International Road Federation (IRF), which took place from October 15 to 18 in Turkey.
The meeting, attended by high-level officials from both Turkmenistan and Turkey also included discussions on Turkmenistan's active participation in international freight transportation via the Middle Corridor, which connects China to Europe.
Additionally, agreements were reached during consultations on joint measures for customs processing, port visits to Turkmenbashi, and the introduction of electronic transit documents between Turkic states in 2024.
