On November 19, 2024, in the city of Turkmenbashi, representatives of “Turkmendeňizderýaýollary” met with the heads of the “Balkan Shipbuilding” joint-stock company during the visit of representatives of Damen Shipyards Gorinchem, Kingdom of the Netherlands, to Turkmenistan. During the meeting, the possibilities of bilateral cooperation were discussed.

Representatives of the company reported that several vessels have been successfully built and put into operation at shipyards in foreign countries. They expressed interest in participating in shipbuilding projects jointly with the Turkmen side. They also discussed various directions for future bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, a presentation video of the “Balkan” Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant was shown and the plant's capabilities were discussed. At the end of the meeting, the guests familiarized themselves with the plant's capabilities and assessed the opportunities created here.
