The energy investment forum of Turkmenistan in Paris attracts the attention of representatives of the world's largest companies

Registration for the International Forum to attract foreign investment in the energy sector of Turkmenistan (TEIF 2024), which will take place on April 24-25, 2024 in Paris, continues. The organizers of this prestigious event are the State Concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit” in partnership with the “Turkmen Forum” and the British company GaffneyCline. Paris is the ideal location for TEIF 2024 The choice of Paris as the venue for TEIF 2024 is not accidental: located in the heart of Europe, the capital of France is home to the headquarters of leading international organizations, energy companies and financial institutions such as UNESCO, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the International Energy Agency (IEA), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and many others. Paris is the most important economic, political and cultural center of France, one of the leading European powers. The appearance of the city underwent changes in different historical periods, but it always personified the masterpieces of European architecture. Iconic sights of the “heart of France”, such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysees and many other cultural heritage sites, are known throughout the world. In the summer of 2024, Paris will host one of the largest international complex competitions - the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games. The French capital has previously hosted the Summer Olympics twice, in 1900 and 1924, making the hosting of the games in Paris in 2024 particularly symbolic as it will be associated with the centenary celebrations of the 1924 Olympics. Paris is, of course, a global city, serving as one of the world centers of science, commerce, art, culture, as well as one of the largest transport hubs in Europe. All this makes the French capital an ideal venue for a high-level investment forum. Hyatt Etoile, located in the heart of Paris and renowned for its state-of-the-art meeting rooms, restaurants and accommodations, will host the upcoming TEIF 2024. High-profile speakers and trending topics Confirmed international speakers include Haitham Al-Ghais – Secretary General of OPEC, Fatih Birol – Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Tatyana Molchan – UN Under-Secretary-General and UNECE Executive Secretary, Li Yalan – President of the International Gas Union, Valérie Ducrot – Executive Director of the Global Gas Centre, Julien Pouget - Senior Vice President of the Renewable Energy Division of TotalEnergies, Tim Gould - Chief Energy Economist of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Constance Shalchat - Director of BNP Paribas, Ozgur Kutay - Manager for Turkey, Eastern Europe and Central Asia UKEF and many others. The main emphasis of TEIF 2024 will be on attracting foreign direct investment in the development of hydrocarbon resources in offshore blocks of the Caspian Sea, the introduction of innovative technologies to optimize oil and gas production in mature fields, the development of the next stages of industrial development of the giant Galkynysh gas field, and the implementation of a gas pipeline construction project Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI), construction of new gas and chemical production facilities, as well as reduction of methane and associated gas emissions. The Paris Forum will also address key aspects and investment opportunities in the construction and transport and communications sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan. TEIF 2024 will be attended by managers and representatives of leading national and international energy, construction and transport and communications companies, international organizations and global financial institutions shaping the future of global energy. The forum will be held under the motto: “Invest in Reliable, Sustainable, Green Energy”, and the key topics for discussion will be: The role of Turkmenistan in the future of global energy Prospects for the development of natural gas in the context of the energy transition Reducing methane and carbon dioxide emissions from hydrocarbon production and alternative energy sources Commodities for the Energy Transition: New Trends and Investment Opportunities Accelerating the process of attracting investment in infrastructure projects of Turkmenistan with an emphasis on construction, transport and communications The role of financial institutions in promoting clean energy projects and modern infrastructure Focus on clean energy and technical visits The Paris forum will focus on the transition to clean energy and clean fuels, as Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development of clean energy and has initiated the construction of a 10 MW hybrid solar-wind power plant on Lake Altyn Asyr - the first such power plant in the country running on renewable energy sources. The forum also includes several study tours to the facilities of the leading French energy company TotalEnergies and an excursion to the UN International Methane Observatory, where the technical capabilities of screening methane emissions in real time will be demonstrated. The importance of such technical visits is confirmed by the success of last year's forum, which included working excursions to the Solar Park in Dubai, the world's largest solar power plant. Participation and business meetings with the leadership of the energy, construction and transport and communications sectors of Turkmenistan will increase the awareness of potential investors about new investment projects and provide them with the most complete information. The deadline for registering for in-person participation in the Forum is April 5, and for online participation is April 19. The organizers also provide visa support to delegates.
